Punjab beats Mumbai by one run

Punjab defeated Mumbai in a very interesting Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Wednesday. It was very close and incredible win over Mumbai. Skipper Yuvraj Singh’s Punjab team won this match by taking last wicket of Mumbai tem at the last delivery of the match.

Mumbai won the toss and invited to Punjab for bat first. Punjab gave a target of 189 runs with help of Shaun Marsh’s 81 runs off 56 deliveries and Luke Pomersbach’s 79 runs at 50 balls. Thus Punjab Kings put a tough target for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians did great struggle to achieve given target but could not succeed. Sachin Tendulkar was the most successful batsman for Mumbai. He made 65 runs to facing 46 balls. Sanath Jayasuriya gave contribution of only 20 runs. Thus Mumbai team has all out at 188 runs. Five batsmen of Mumbai Indians could not cross the 10th run. Shaun Marsh has declared man of the match.
