The latest news from Pakistan is that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani survived an apparent assassination attempt when he was on his way back to the PM House. Gilani’s spokesman Zahid Bashir said “two bullets struck the driver’s side of the PM’s vehicle in a murder attempt. He further added that “By the grace of Allah the prime minister is safe”. The Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani is fine and now he is at the PM house. Information Minister of Pakistan Sherry Rehman added.

The attack happened near the capital Islamabad on the most secured road to the airport in the garrison city. Earlier this the former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has assassinated during an election campaign last year. A 25 year old Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra won first solo gold medal in Beijing Olympics 2008. Thus he gave a unique gift to India just days before its 62nd Independence Day. Thus he has become first Indian who won solo gold medal in any Olympics Games. India has won gold medal in only hockey in the Olympics games still now but Bindra made a history by winning India’s first solo gold medal.
