TATA, OTHERWISE TATA!!!

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

In India a TV adv. says this, “Tata, otherwise tata.” Tata’s are India’s top industrialists. They own a business in India of satellite TV dish network in the name of -“Tata Sky.” Now days, a TV adv. appears in India of it hosting India’s top film star Aamir khan. From the right angle he is an Indian wife and from left, Indian husband. Character turns again and again from right to left angles to show male and female figures. The female character (wife) says to his husband “We shall install Sky satellite dish in our home.” Character turns to left angle, the husband appears saying no, and Tata satellite dish shall be installed.

Both characters turn many times to quarrel each other. The male character threatens wife saying “Install Tata, otherwise tata.” The word tata also means in India good bye. Here it sounds good bye to marriage i.e. divorce. The wife agrees. The husband discloses that I was just joking, Tata and Sky both are the same. The message goes to viewers, as the character is two in one, the same Tata and Sky are two in one.
