Cricket world celebrates Don Bradman’s 100th Birthday

Today whole cricket world is celebrating Sir Donald Bradman’s 100th birthday. He is known as the greatest cricket player of the century. He was born on August 27, 1908, in the south-western NSW town of Cootamundra Australia. While Don Bradman died on 25th February 2001 at the age of 92 years and 182 days in Adelaide.

Sir Bradman made Test debut on 30th November 1928 against England. His last match was also against England that he played in England in 1948 and got retirement to be on top. Sir Donald Bradman made many remarkable benchmarks in cricket that are still now unbroken. He played 52 Test matches in his 20 years long cricket career. He made 6996 runs with batting average of 99.94 included 29 century and 13 half century.

His intimate friends, fans and cricket family are celebrating his career and life at functions across the major cities of Australia. The Cricket Australia has hosted a dinner party in which Australian Test Captain Ricky Ponting will address 400 guests and talk about sir Bradman’s life. So, we also salute this century cricket player.
