India wins first-ever one-day series in Sri Lanka

Indian cricketer players make a history when they defeated Sri Lanka in the 4th match of one day cricket series at R. Premadasa Stadium. It is India’s first ever one day victory against Sri Lanka on their land. However India has lost Test Series from Sri Lanka but India revealed in One day series.

India won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian opener Virat Kohli made 54 runs batsman Suresh Raina 76 while Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave contribution of 71 to give target of 259 runs for winning. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was the most successful bowler for India. He bagged three wickets including Jayasuriya. Voice captain Yuvraj Singh and Munaf Patel dismissed two-two wickets.
In reply of India’s 258 runs Sri Lankan lost wickets regularly and all team has out at 212 runs in 46.3 overs. However Sri Lankan experienced opener Sanath Jayasuriya gave ideal start to Sri Lanka. He made 60 runs by facing only 52 balls including eight fours and two six.
