India defeated South Korea 3-2 in the final of junior Asia Cup. Thus India has become Asia Cup champion in both junior and senior. However South Korea was in strong position till 58 minute. South Korea had lead of 2-0 and India was struggling to reduce this difference. Indian player came back and score two goals continuously at 59 minute and 61 minute. Both teams were at 2-2 till the fixed time and match has gone to extra time.

Diwakar Ram, who is the most scorers from India, shows his magic and scripted a ‘golden finish’ in the fourth minute of extra time. Thus India got lead 3-2 that continued to at the end of the extra time. The president of India Pratibha Devi Singh Patil congratulated to junior Indian hockey team for their greatest victory in the final. She also praised team coach A K Bansal and drag-flicker Diwakar Ram for their role in India’s win.

India will take on South Korea in the final of Junior Asia Cup in Hyderabad today. India is champion of 5th Junior Asia Cup and will want to repeat history. India beat Pakistan with 3-1 in semi final on Wednesday. On the other hand South Korea entered in final to beat Japan by 4-2.

India is unbeaten in the Junior Asia Cup still now and wants to continue same performance. Drag flicker Diwakar Ram has been scored 9 goals in the tournament. He is in best form and playing important role in India’s victory. Diwakar Ram helped India to beat Japan, Malaysia and Pakistan as well. South Korea was at the third position to beat Japan in the previous Junior Asia Cup. So South Korea also wants to win 6th Asia Cup.

The former miss world and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is celebrating her birth day today. Priyanka Chopra was born on 18th July 1982 at Jamshedpur in Jharkand. She won the title of Miss India World and later became Miss World 2000. Priyanka started her acting career with the Tamil film Thamizhan in 2001 but entered in Bollywood from Anil Sharma’s The Hero. However her first film was The Hero but she got success second film Andaaz. She warded by Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for second release, Andaaz.

Priyanka Chopra won Miss World crown in 2000, same year Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza also won the Miss Universe and Miss Asia Pacific crowns. She was the fifth Indian woman, who won the Miss World pageant. At present she is a prominent actress and known as hot Bollywood actress. Her recent release film is Love Story 2050 with boyfriend Harman Baweja.

The 22year old Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza has won Miss Universe 2008 pageant at the Crown Conventional Centre in Nha Trang city Vietnam. Dayana Mendoza beats first runner up Taliana Vargas from Colombia, secund runner up Marianne Cruz Gonzalez, third runner up Vera Krasova, and fourth runner up Elisa Najera respectively from Dominican Republic, Russia and Mexico. Dayana Mendoza is the fifth Venezuelan beauty who named Miss Universe. Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza is 5 feet, 10 inches tall. She has green almond-shaped eyes along with long auburn hair. Miss Venezuela has been kidnapped once in her country.

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was handed the crown worth 120,000 US dollars by Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori. Dayana Mendoza likes photography, design, wave surfing and advertising. She can speak Italian, Spanish and English.

Today, Cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar is celebrating his 60th birthday. Sunil Gavaskar is one of the greatest batsmen in Indian cricket history. He is known as a commenter, column writer, first of all as a great Indian batsman. Sunil Gavaskar was born July 10, 1949 in Mumbai Maharashtra. He is popular his nickname ‘Sunny’ in the cricket.

He started his international cricket career on March 6, 1971 against West Indies in Port-of-Spain. The most noticeable dialogue about Sunil Gavaskar is that he made 774 runs with average of 154.80 in his first cricket series of career. It is a record still now.

The great Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar set many mile stones of record included the most runs and most centuries scored by any batsman. He made 34 Test centuries in his test carrier. However another India batsman Sachin Tendulkar broke this record in December 2005. Sunil Gavaskar appreciated to Sachin Tendulkar to break his world record of most centuries by Indian player. Today is his 60th birthday and we prayer for his long life.

Sri Lanka again won Asia cup by defeating India with 100 runs on Sunday. Sri Lanka has won Asia cup now four times. Earlier this India only has this honor. Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya played his natural game and with help of 9 fours and 5 six, made 125 runs off 114 balls. But other Sri Lankan players could not give more contribution such as; Sri Lanka gave target of 274 runs to India. While Indian bowler performed their best and R.P. Singh took 3 wickets same as Ishant Sharma also out three wickets.

India opener gave good start; Virender Sehwag made 60 runs only by facing 36 balls, with help of 12 fours. When Virender Sehwag was playing at that time it was seem that India will win very easily this match. But Sri Lankan skipper use their most successful bowler Ajantha Mendis. He took six wickets by giving only 13 runs. Thus Sri Lanka won Asia Cup 2008 by 100 runs.

India defeat Sri Lanka by six wickets with 19 balls remaining. However Sri Lanka already qualified for final. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Sanath Jayasuriya hit 43 runs while Chamara Kapugedera gave contribution of 75 runs in 78 balls. Sri Lankan skipper played a captaincy inning. He made 50 runs and faced 63 balls; on the other hand Chamara Silva played only 56 balls to made same runs. Thus Sir Lanka gave target of 309 runs to India.

This match was very important for India to take ticket for final. Indian opener Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag gave again flying start. Gautam Gambhir made 68 runs but Virender Sehwag hits only 42. Despite it Suresh Raina played his natural game and made valuable 54 runs. M.S. Dhoni also played an important role in victory over Sri Lanka. Now India will take on Sri Lanka in final of Asia Cup 2008 on 6th July.

Asia cup is the main headline of Indian news papers and media these days. Today India will take on Pakistan in the super four matches. India will play to beat Pakistan and take ticket for final while Pakistan wants to revenge. All India players are fit and ready to perform their best. Whether India defeats Pakistan today’s match, it will be India’s second victory against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2008.

India has beat Bangladesh in the first match of Super Four by seven wickets. India will have to play with Sri Lanka, which is already qualified for Final. Even India skipper M.S. Dhoni is not happy with regular matches of a particular team. According to him players to be tired to play continue match and it put bad impact on their fitness.
